Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

COURSE OVERVIEW – This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities

  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Review the incident
DURATION – 4 hours, 8:00am – 12:00pm
ASSESSMENT -Throughout the course participants must demonstrate competency during a series of practical skills evaluation and written assessments.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATION – This course is Nationally Recognised Training and applicants’ deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment.
